4-Day Ouarzazate to Merzouga Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Dades Gorges
Your driver meets you in Ouarzazate before you begin travelling towards southeastern Morocco. Follow the road to Skoura, an oasis known for its palm groves and traditional earthen kasbahs. Stop along the way to enjoy the scenery and discover the local architecture.
Continue towards Kelaat M’Gouna and the Valley of Roses. The villages and cultivated fields along the road offer a glimpse of local life. Then travel towards Boumalne Dades and the Dades Gorges. Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

Day 3: Merzouga – Explore the Erg Chebbi Area
Spend the day discovering Merzouga and the landscapes around Erg Chebbi. Explore nearby villages, enjoy the desert scenery and observe how the colours of the sand change throughout the day.
Depending on your preferences, optional activities can be arranged, such as a camel ride or a desert excursion by vehicle. A stop in Khamlia can also be considered to discover Gnawa musical traditions, subject to local arrangements. Later, enjoy the sunset over the dunes. Overnight in the Merzouga area, according to your accommodation arrangements.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazarine – Agdz – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, leave Merzouga and travel towards Rissani. This town has a history connected to the old caravan routes and remains known for its traditional market. Depending on the day of your visit, you can explore the market surroundings and streets in the town centre.
Continue towards Alnif and Tazarine through the dry landscapes of southeastern Morocco. The road then reaches the Draa Valley and its palm groves before passing through Agdz. Cross the Anti-Atlas landscapes on the way back to Ouarzazate, arriving in the afternoon or evening depending on stops. Your driver drops you off at the agreed location.
