2-Day Marrakech to Zagora Desert Tour

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora

Depart from Marrakech in the morning and travel south. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and enjoy panoramic views of traditional villages and valleys.

Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a historic village listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take time to explore its narrow streets and traditional earthen houses.

Then continue to Ouarzazate before crossing the arid landscapes of the Draa Valley. Along the way, discover palm groves and villages scattered throughout this long valley.

Arrive in Zagora in the afternoon. Head to the Tinfou dunes for a camel ride and enjoy the sunset. In the evening, settle into your desert camp and enjoy a traditional dinner beneath the starry sky.

Day 2: Zagora – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Wake up early to admire the sunrise over the desert. After breakfast at the camp, meet your driver and begin the journey back to Marrakech.

Travel through the Draa Valley again, passing its extensive palm groves. Stop along the way to admire the scenery and take photographs.

Continue to Ouarzazate, then cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Enjoy the final mountain views before arriving in Marrakech in the late afternoon or early evening.
