Enjoy a 6-day journey from Marrakech to discover the Atlantic coast and the Sahara Desert. This private tour combines the charm of Essaouira, the landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, the ancient kasbahs of southern Morocco and the impressive dunes of Erg Chegaga. Day 1: Marrakech – Essaouira
Your driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech in the morning. Travel towards the Atlantic coast through the landscapes of the Haouz region and fields of argan trees.
On arrival in Essaouira, discover this charming coastal city, known for its UNESCO-listed medina, historic ramparts and traditional fishing port.
Walk through the narrow streets of the medina, explore local artisan workshops and enjoy the seaside atmosphere. You can also admire the ramparts and try local specialties at one of the city restaurants.
Check in at your riad or hotel and spend the night in Essaouira.
Day 2: Essaouira – Marrakech
After breakfast, enjoy the morning exploring more of Essaouira. You can walk along the beach, visit the fishing port or browse the small shops in the medina.
After lunch, travel back to Marrakech through the countryside and argan forests. On arrival, check in at your accommodation and enjoy some free time in the city.

Day 3: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Agdz
After breakfast, leave Marrakech and head south. Cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying beautiful views of the mountain peaks and traditional villages.
Visit the famous ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its narrow streets and traditional earthen houses, which reflect the history of the old caravan routes.
Continue to Ouarzazate and then travel towards Agdz. Discover the first landscapes of the Draa Valley, with its villages and extensive palm groves.
Check in at your accommodation, enjoy dinner and spend the night in Agdz.
Day 4: Agdz – Draa Valley – Zagora – Mhamid – Chegaga Desert
After breakfast, cross the beautiful Draa Valley, known for its palm groves, kasbahs and traditional villages. Continue towards Zagora and then reach Mhamid, at the gateway to the Sahara.
After a break, continue in a vehicle suitable for desert tracks towards the dunes of Erg Chegaga. Along the way, discover the wild desert scenery, sandy expanses and arid plateaus.
On arrival at the camp, take some time to relax among the dunes. Enjoy a camel ride at sunset and admire the changing colours of the Sahara.
Enjoy a traditional dinner, an evening around the campfire with local music and an overnight stay at the desert camp.
Day 5: Chegaga Desert – Lake Iriki – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Ouarzazate
Wake up early to admire the sunrise over the Chegaga dunes. After breakfast, travel through the desert landscapes towards Lake Iriki and Iriqui National Park.
Cross vast desert expanses and Saharan tracks before reaching Foum Zguid. Continue towards Taznakht, a region known for its traditional crafts and carpets.
Finally, travel towards Ouarzazate. Check in at your hotel, enjoy dinner and spend the night there.
Day 6: Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast, begin the return journey to Marrakech. Cross the landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka Pass once again.
Make stops along the way to enjoy the panoramic views and take photographs of the mountain villages. You will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon or late in the day, depending on traffic conditions.
Your driver will drop you off at your accommodation, marking the end of your 6-day tour between Essaouira and the Chegaga Desert.
